The Fleet and Maintenance Assistant provides services to Hope support recipients through their work in assisting the fleet and maintenance departments. The Fleet and Maintenance Assistant supports the daily tasks associated with fleet and maintenance activities, to include administrative duties, grounds keeping and building maintenance. This position performs a variety of support services, including logistics of fleet vehicles, printing, copying, scanning and electronically organizing documentation, snow and ice removal, lawn and grounds maintenance, moving and lifting of maintenance materials, and assists as a helper with repair work and construction. The Fleet and Maintenance Assistant maintains loyalty to the organization, its beliefs, values, mission, vision, and expectations, and to the recipients of services.

Job Duties:

1.      Supports the Fleet Agent by safely transporting company vehicles for service, repair, maintenance, relocation and oil and tire changes.

       2.      Supports the Fleet Agent in the management of tire inventory to include storage, transportation, installation and disposal.

       3.      Supports the Fleet Agent and the Physical Plant Coordinator with printing, copying, scanning and electronically organizing documents.

       4.      Completes assigned lawn and grounds maintenance and snow removal tasks, while safely using equipment.

       5.      Cleans up areas in which there is work in progress or work has been completed.

 6.      Completes routine moving of furniture and other items, including taking trash and yard waste to the waste transfer facility.

       7.      Cleans maintenance vehicles and shop maintenance area. Reports any concerns to supervisors.

       8.      Complies with OSHA standards, under direct supervision, for assigned job tasks.

       9.      Assists with cleaning and construction assignments as assigned (e.g. hauling materials to and from sites, hauling trash, general home cleaning, painting, drywall preparation, etc.)

     10.       Assist with Home Alliance Coordinators with move-in/move-out inspections as directed by the Physical Plant Property and Rental Coordinator.
