JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Analyze and improve internal quality performance using statistical process control, six sigma tools such as Design, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) process.


• Validate new internal processes by conducting multiple process audits, special inspections and analyzing past and new process key performance indicators.


• Investigate multiple field returns for root cause, corrective actions and preventative actions as well as provide reports on internal and external corrective action effectiveness and timeliness.


• Perform machine/process capability (CPK) on new and existing machines in manufacturing.


• Participate in Gemba walks and kaizen events in the production facility as part of process improvement initiatives.


• Participate in ISO 9001 Quality management system certification preparation and assures on-going ISO 9001 requirements are continuously met

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 year Engineering degree with a quality emphasis.  The right candidate should be motivated, self-directed, conscientious, team oriented, very flexible, responsive, and creative.  Travel is less than 10%.


• Knowledge of packaging equipment, project management and customer relations is a plus.  Must have very good communication skills. Substantial interpersonal interaction is required, which may require formal presentation, written proposals, etc.


• At least 1 year experience working in the quality engineering field preferred or equivalent internship experiences/projects


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visual Basic)


• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills


• Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T)


• SAP experience preferred
