Position Summary:

We are currently looking for Legal Counsel to join our Strategic Transactions group! In this role, you will support general commercial contracting matters and a wide various of strategic projects within the Strategic Transactions legal team

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support day-to-day commercial contracting, including the negotiation of non-disclosure agreements, business associate agreements, data use agreements, clinical trial agreements, supply agreements, API agreements, master services agreements, subscription agreements, consulting agreements, amendments, statements of work, schedules, exhibits, and consents;


  • Assist Strategic Transactions legal team with establishing or updating contracting process, creating, maintaining and updating legal templates;


  • Support complex strategic transactions, with tasks that may include review and analysis of due diligence materials and/or creating and maintaining document and action item checklists; and


  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in corporate development, clinical, privacy and compliance; prepare execution copies and coordinate with legal support personnel to ensure timely execution and filing of documents.



Required Qualifications:

  • Member of the California Bar in good standing


  • 2+ years' relevant commercial contracting experience with stable work history


  • Solid drafting skills and attention to detail



Functional Description

    Manages legal business matters pertaining to the organization. Provides a variety of general corporate and commercial legal services to a number of in-house clients. Acts as advisor on legal issues involving the organization's government and regulatory compliance. Reviews legal data and advises organization on appropriate legal action to be taken. Performs litigation on the company's behalf or coordinates litigation and other legal matters handled by outside counsel. Demonstrates experience in general corporate matters, including corporate organization, securities compliance, drafting transactional documents, license agreements, employment law, immigration law, data privacy, risk management asset-backed financing, and contract management. Experience in trade secrets, advertising law, registration and other resolutions specific to the computer and technology industry as well as SEC reporting. Requires a law degree.

      • Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2-5 years of related experience.

      Workplace Type

      • The Workplace Type for this role is Flex. Based on the nature of your position you will be working onsite approximately 2-3 days per week from collaborative space and hoteling desks at our Dexcom sites. You will need to be located within commuting distance (typically 75 miles/120km) of your assigned Dexcom site.
