The Opportunity
This opportunity as a Site Lead in the San Diego, CA area is perfect for a lead technician with business acumen. This individual will serve as a field representative to install, test, repair, and maintain low voltage security systems at the U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot in Pueblo, Colorado.
The Responsibilities
Install, repair, test, maintain and troubleshooting of security projects as assigned
Provide field customer service and represent Evergreen Fire and Security (EFS) in a professional manner
Must be able to train customers on the usage of all applicable products used in installation and/or upgrades
Ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations as applicable to service, installation, maintenance of systems and OSHA safety standards
Interface with EFS internal customers including but not limited to the engineering staff with technical information necessary to improve installations
Read and comprehend blueprints, project instructions and company forms
Must be able to install minor conduit as necessary
Manage security projects as assigned
Manage administration duties of projects including change orders and project reporting to ensure projects are within contract obligations
Identify and relay customer feedback and requirements to your supervisor and/or the management of Evergreen Fire and Security
Must maintain a professional appearance at all times
Must maintain confidentiality at all times
Ability to travel as necessary
All duties as assigned by your supervisor or the Evergreen Fire and Security management related to your skill set and/or job function
The Necessities
Associate degree or at least 3 years of verifiable related work experience
IT or an electrical background.
Basic electrical wiring experience.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Good communication skills to interface with customers
Able to call and schedule appointments, follow instructions and code requirements
Perform follow-up to ensure the client is ready for inspection
Attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to work well with others and come to work with a positive attitude
Required to obtain Secret Level or higher security clearance
Must have a valid driver's license and proof of minimum liability insurance
Must be able to pass a pre-employment and continuing random background, drug and MVR screenings
Current Secret Level or higher security clearance
Great to Have
Experienced in the IT field
Experienced electrician
Current Secret Level or higher security clearance
Certifications or experience on the following: MDI, Vindicator, DAQ, Lenel, AMAG, Advantor, HIRSCH
Prior experience working on government contracts or military bases preferred
CompTIA A+
