Job Description:

A Project Manager in the Supply Chain PMO provides leadership on projects from initiation through implementation and delivery. A Project Manager in this position will both lead projects of their own as well as work with the Senior Project Management staff supporting strategic goals and initiatives focusing on large portfolios of critical projects within operations as well as on initiatives to better prepare and support IDEXX' growth. Projects or programs will cover needs from all of IDEXX' functional business areas including both consumables and instrument support as well as software support and implementation. As a Project Manager you are responsible for defining and creating project plans, gathering and managing resources, and working as a part of the technical team to ensure successful project delivery.

What you can expect in this role:


  • You will lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization to create and manage a project plan that addresses both technical and business challenges


  • You will work with the core team and stakeholders to identify critical milestones and decision points along the project timeline and ensure that all effected parties are aligned


  • You will coordinate activities and ensure effective communication across the core team and stakeholders


  • You will serve as the central point of contact for the core team and provide regular communication to management and stakeholders


  • You will work with Senior Project Managers supporting critical programs and process developments at IDEXX


What you will need to succeed:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Life sciences, physical sciences, or engineering disciplines preferred.


  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment engineering and/or sciences projects


  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills and a willingness to pursue challenges


  • Comfortability working with technical teams and in a technical environment interacting with mixed teams of engineers, scientists, manufacturing team members and business leaders


  • Excellent analytical, organization and communication skills (written and verbal)


  • Comfortability challenging assumptions and identifying common ground when needed to meet organizational needs
