Job Description

In order tosupportEisner'scontinued expansion,the firm ishiringthe leader of payroll.The PayrollLeaderwill become an integral part of the wider Payroll Teamand Finance Department,which consists of experienced, motivated, and self-sufficient high performers.ThePayrollLeaderwill reportintotheControllerandwill be expected tobe a major contributor to the team,through a period of growth. ThePayrollLeaderwillsupervise and oversee thePayrollteam,work closelywith theTransformation Controller, Workday Technology Team, as well as other Finance and Internal Operations leadership,to ensure opportunities for process improvement areseamlesslyintegrated and executed as part of the Global Payroll Roadmap. The ideal candidate would have strong leadership,communicationand people skills. The candidate will haveexperience managing aspects of a proper Workday Payroll system,be able to work at a fast pace,manage multiple competing priorities,and be able to make quick well-informed decisions.
Responsibilities:
Strategically assess the needs of thePayrollteam and its stakeholders
Apply a strong project management approachin order todefine, document,and drive the Global Payroll Roadmap in collaboration with Payroll Operations, and Finance & Accounting Transformation
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to drive multi-departmental process improvemente.g.HR, Benefits, Tax,Technology, and Finance Transformation
Ensurethe firm'sCompensation& Equityplans are successfully rolled outeffectively
Ensure that all employees are paid on time,accurately,and that all taxes are appropriately paid across to local authorities
Approve all monthly payrolls and ensure that a robust control environment is maintained for pay cycles
Responsible for payroll compliance in accordance with internal / external audit & legislative procedures
Critically review & document 3rd party payroll vendor performance / cost analysis. Drive performance improvement & command increased ROI in line with value of services delivered
Instill a customer service approach to payroll through the development of Employee Payroll Support Guides & Employee Communications through query automation
Manage escalated issues and provide assistance to employees
Assist in the design andimplementationof key metric reporting
Supportthe firmon any due diligence and integration in relation to M&A payroll related activity
Basic Qualifications:
Prior experienceleading usingWorkday Payrollis required
10years+ working in a payroll environment with a significant proportion of these managing payrolls in a large-scale environment
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or a related major
Ideally, you will also have:
Understanding of"complementary"Finance ERP / HRIS systemsand how they connect to thePayrollprocess
Bring apositiveattitude and work ethic that prioritizes continuous improvement within the organization
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize and manage several complex projects at once
Ability to learn and adapt quickly, as new information unfolds throughout the project timeline
Ability to analyze data, and understanding of basicexcel functions
The ability to collaborate with numerous cross functional teams is vital
