The Network Architect Engineer is responsible for the Architecting, designing, managing, and administering DINE's Network Infrastructure including Cisco's Unified Communications Platform. Responsibilities include review, assess, recommend, implement, manage, and maintain Network Infrastructure. This entails setup, configure, troubleshoot all network infrastructure including but not limited to AWS Cloud platform, Linux based appliances, NPS, POS lab, Logic Monitor, AT&T circuits, network LAN, WAN, VPC, VPN, Security software, Appliances, Cisco UCP, etc.


Responsibilities:



  • Work with the Infrastructure team to recommend, specify and implement new networking equipment.

  • Perform updates on network equipment to mitigate security risks

  • Setup, configure and maintain network routes and VLANS

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues

  • Miscellaneous network management tasks as needed

  • Setup, maintain and troubleshoot issues with Linux-based infrastructure servers

  • Setup, maintain and repair Linux-based networking and monitoring tools such as phpIPAM, TACACS, Syslog

  • Setup and maintain NPS server on Windows

  • Assist Infrastructure team with AWS support issues

  • Provide network support for the POS lab

  • Miscellaneous support tasks as needed

  • Setup and assist in management of Logic Monitor configuration

  • Setup and manage Logic Monitor collector servers

  • Work with Infrastructure Team to identify and implement additional monitoring and reporting tools.

  • Configure and maintain LAN, voice and data networks.

  • Install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches.

  • Install and maintain CUCM, CUC, CUE, UCCE and UCCX.

  • Configure and maintain standard QoS templates across all network devices.

  • Provide higher tiered support to network operations and service desk teams.

  • Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration and installation.

  • Installs and maintains local and wide area network hardware and software, network nodes, terminals and wiring.

  • Evaluates local area network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations.

  • Monitors and maintains network stability and makes necessary recommendations for additional resources or hardware augmentations.

  • Communicates and coordinates network schedule, backups and downtime to users.

  • Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.

  • Responds to inquiries regarding data and computer security, policies and procedures.

  • Monitors network traffic performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose complex network problems.

  • Provides world class customer service / technical support to internal and external customers. Supports and maintains production applications.

  • Provides support for compliance initiatives (i.e. Cybersecurity, SOX, PCI).


Skills & Requirements:



  • Demonstrated experience in the area of Network Architecture, centralized monitoring, network capacity planning, network performance reporting, network optimization and troubleshooting of enterprise IPT deployments.

  • Demonstrated experience implementing security policies and procedures for IPT and video.

  • 7+ years network engineering experience with focus on IPT particularly CUCM.

  • Demonstrated experience with Contact Center Applications.

  • Demonstrated experience with Unity Connection.

  • Demonstrated experience with Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE).

  • Knowledge/ Experience of H.323, H248, MGCP and SIP.

  • Knowledge / Experience of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and IP trucking concepts, topology design - VoIP media RTP/RTCP.

  • Experience and solid understanding of data network systems, routing protocols- EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.

  • Expertise with Signaling Protocols - ISDN, CAS, Analogue, T1/E1 PRI and E and M.

  • Experience / Knowledge of compression algorithms - G729, G711, G722 etc.

  • Extensive experience configuring, implementing and troubleshooting QoS.

  • Experience supporting Call Centers, including setup, configuration and troubleshooting of toll-free numbers desirable.

  • Working knowledge in BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, DMVPN, HSRP, PBR, CBAC, VRF, PKI's Client and Clientless SSL VPN, Windows AD/ DNS/DHCP/PKI and 802.1x specifically EAP-TLS and ScienceLogic EM7.

  • Proven experience on Cisco ASR and ISR Routers and L2/L3 Switches.

  • CCNA certification.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills desirable.

  • Ability to work independently, ability to define priorities and meet critical deadlines.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills used to resolve issues and challenges.
