We're looking for welding inspection/NDT professionals to join our growing team in providing high-level inspection and testing services in shop/fabrication facilities on transportation projects throughout California and the surrounding area. We need seasoned staff who are comfortable being actively engaged in the fabrication facility providing source inspection services on transportation related construction programs (material I.D., welding process inspections, non-destructive testing of welded connections). This role offers a dynamic work environment, the opportunity to work on multiple high-profile projects under single programs, and the opportunity to be part of an industry leading company. Must be willing to travel occasionally to remote fabrication facilities throughout the U.S. Consideration for this position requires the following certifications or experience:

  • 5 years of welding inspection experience.

  • Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society (AWS).

  • ASNT Nondestructive Testing (NDT) experience; minimum level II certification in ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (PT), and dye penetrant testing (DT) preferred.

  • N.A.C.E. Level II or III certification desired.

  • Valid driver"s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass drug test;

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent;

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintaining composure, and working effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

  • Organization and multi-tasking ability.

  • A good work ethic, attention to detail, and high level of personal integrity.

  • Authorization to work in the United States.

In addition to the above required certifications and experience, hiring preference will be given to those with the following certifications or experience:

  • Prior transportation fabrication inspection experience

  • Precast Concrete Institute (PCI) Level II
