Job Description

WANTED: A mission-driven professional with US Navy logistics experience and a secret security clearance to become our next Staff Logistician (Part-Time)for NSWCPD Code 311 in Philadelphia, PA. Candidate will support the US Navy's Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) Program.

A week in the life of a Staff Logistician:

• Participate and support meetings, program reviews, and assist with the development of program briefs, financial reports, and action items trackers


• Support logistics planning, execution and delivery, which includes generating performance metrics on ILS products, analyzing shipbuilder proposed changes/modifications/design alternatives to identify logistics impacts and issues, and developing the applicable logistics support packages.


• Develop and review acquisition logistics support documentation that includes Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Interim Support Plans, Manpower Personnel and Training Support (M&T) Planning Documents, Major Acquisition Milestones Monitoring, and other documented strategies for ILS products in accordance with the requirements of DOD Instruction 5000.02 and the Defense Acquisition Guidebook;


• Identify logistics product impacts that result from craft configuration changes.


• Develop and modify logistics technical documentation to include: allowance parts lists, allowance equipage lists, technical manuals, planned maintenance systems, class maintenance plans and configuration support.

Job Requirements

• Associates degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field of study from an accredited College or University, OR may have equivalent validation/certification gained through service in the US Military in the field of Junior Officer or Non-Commissioned Officer/Enlisted (E4 or above) logistics support billets.


• Two (2) years of experience as a logistician supporting supply programs or projects.


• Posse working knowledge of naval and commercial logistical databases, e.g. TDMIS, CDMD-OA, Haystack, Wind Chill, or equivalent.;


• Active Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain an active Security Clearance required
