Job Description:

The Global Distribution team plays a critical role in supporting the Global Sales Organization. Our DS Systems team creates automated solutions that aid in executing the retail compensation component of Hilton’s partner agreements with Online Travel Agencies, Travel Management Companies, Meeting Planner Companies, and key accounts globally. Global Distribution performs data capture, calculation, reconciliation, and payout of commissions on behalf of Hiltons’ 6400+ hotels globally.

What will I be doing?

The Senior Manager, Channel and Product Activations is responsible for implementing new channels, offers, and products in line with Hilton’s strategy around existing and approved distribution partners. This includes being responsible for large-scale projects, testing, documentation, and hotel-facing training!

In this role, you will ensure any new channels or products meet the strategic and commercial goals and are set up to be consistent with the requirements of the department and the company. The Sr. Manager will collaborate with various partners, intermediaries, and internal teams to integrate new opportunities, be responsible for the operational activation and continuously evaluate the value proposition and optimize the efficiency of the channel partners following the activation.

The ideal candidate for this position would have a deep understanding of the online third-party space, including evolving tools and platforms, and experience working with intermediaries and connectivity options. To be successful, the team member will need to have experience establishing and maintaining distribution processes and third-party operations. The Sr. Manager must have a passion for innovation and process improvement.

More specifically, you will:


  • Provide input during the Assessment and Contracting process of any new channel communications

  • Complete implementation assessment of potential new partners; examine efficient integration design and develop a project plan

  • Schedule and conduct operational and implementation meetings, to review processes, ensure progress, and agree on critical metrics with the client

  • Take ownership and provide support for any integration activities in the Implementation process as the need arises by Director

  • Work with internal teams and partners to ensure integration requirements are understood, implemented, and tested promptly

  • Provide level 2/3 support for third-party accounts and participating properties during the projects

  • Support Operations and Optimizations teams during handover from implementation to steady-state and provide training/mentorship where vital

  • Support health assessment processes and sales teams to develop corrective action plans where significant

  • Optimization of Hilton participation across new channels via hotel and rate plan set-up, operational improvements, systems audits, and online analysis.

  • Work with the rate loading team to develop and add new programs and coordinate the launch of these products

  • Review and implement Third Party Distribution related global projects in partnership with Global Revenue Management

What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:


  • 3 years of proven experience working in distribution-related roles

  • Experienced in project management with creative problem-solving skills

  • Outstanding analytical skills and strong experience overlooking data and drawing conclusions

  • Self-starter with attention to detail and knowledge of data and technology • Confident working in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.

  • High proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:


  • Degree in Business, Hospitality or Computer Science preferred

  • Five (5)+ years of experience in distribution-related role

  • Proficiency in Spanish

  • Project Management certification

  • Working experience with MS Project and Visio

  • Some proficiency with Access, VBA, and SQL
