Your Responsibilities

As a Test Automation Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) located in Silvis, IL, you will be responsible for implementing and executing test scripts in SIL and/or HIL environments for crop harvesting equipment.

• Implement and maintain test scripts for automation using designated test automation toolfor the respective environment
• Responsible for mapping test scripts to test case requirements for traceability and result/coverage reports
• Ensure test scripts deliver reproducible results
• Document any issues found with the performance or functionality of software under test
• Conduct reviews with verification champions and software engineers to review documented issues and track to resolution

What Skills You Need

• Experience with electrical and software systems in design or testing (SIL/HIL/VIL) (1+ year of student or entry-level experience)
• Understanding of controller communication protocols (CAN/LIN) along with recording and analyzing data
• Strong root cause analysis skillset
• Experience with Python scripting, C++or other object-oriented languages
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with multifunctional, cross-cultural design teams and interface with vehicle design centers and suppliers
• Experience in Agile software development processes

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience with software test planning and execution
• Experience in Agile software development process
• Experience with the implementation or debugging of J1939 CAN protocol
• Product design or test experience in the Agriculture, Construction, Forestry, and/or Off-road equipment industries
• ISTQB foundation certified

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
