Schndier Electric is looking for a leader for Data processing and Data storage team.

You will be responsible for managing a team (20 ) Big data engineers responsible for diverse areas in Big data. You will work with senior leaders (engineering, product and business leaders) to plan and execute the roadmap. You will provide right level of technical and managerial support to the team and eliminate bottlenecks. You will seek feedback from your peers, other senior leaders to continue to drive up the excellence.

Duties and responsibilities

• Drive the platform vision based on domain, market and customer requirements.
• Define & Optimize the way to build and deliver the Data processing and Data Storage platform.
• Create a collaborative partnership among internal and external stakeholders and align all parties towards the same goal.
• Optimize teams to deliver solutions to complex problems at pace. Provide technical leadership to team.
• Managing the day-to-day activities of the engineering team and ensuring impediments are removed. Be accountable for the team deliveries and commitments.
• Ensure best development practices, process and tools are in place to deliver high quality software.
• Reporting on key metrics to various stakeholders including business teams and senior management.
• Handle budget planning, spend and tracking for your area of responsibility.

• Overall 15 year experience in software development, testing and launching software platforms.
• 6 years of experience in managing product teams
• 4 years of working experience with Big data technologies
• Prior experience with building and launching data platforms that are scalable, high performing, and lower in operations cost
• Proven experience in managing and working with teams based in multiple geograhies.
• Good knowledge of Agile software development methodology.
• Hands-on knowledge of big data technologies (Data Lakes, Time series data) is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) skills.
