A 16- bed Critical Access Hospital is seeking an Infection Preventionist to join their team. 

This hospital is a 51,000-square-foot facility that was constructed in 2012. Bond-funded and 100% union-built, the three-story community hospital has 15+ beds and 9,000-square-feet of covered parking. As a critical access facility, offering a broad range of health services including ER services, Surgical Services, Swing Bed Rehab, Laboratory, Imaging, Cardiopulmonary, Primary Care, Behavioral Health and Orthopedic Surgery.

As the Infection Preventionist you will support and maintains a culture of safety and quality through the development and implementation of the facility-wide infection prevention and control program based on the organizational risk assessment and best current practice standards and serve as the organizational expert and consultant in infection prevention practices to promote systems, processes, policies and procedures designed to prevent and monitor healthcare associated infections (HAIs). These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: surveillance, data collection and analysis, results reporting, education of staff and providers and process improvement activities. The IP maintains strong connections with community, state and national organizations associated with infection prevention. and supports the health of the employees through management of occupational exposure occupational exposure management, immunization and screening.
