Campus and Community Engagement (CCE) includes a broad range of departments dedicated to enriching the student experience outside of the classroom: Campus Activities, Parent and Family Programs, Sorority and Fraternity Life, and the Tatkon Center for New Students. Together with colleagues from across campus, CCE builds a community and creates co-curricular opportunities where the intrinsic value and worth of the individual is affirmed and community standards and values are upheld. These are the foundational goals of all CCE programs.

The Tatkon Center for New Students supports new students in their transition to Cornell and creates a vibrant and robust first-year experience, including New Student Orientation and Family Orientation. This role will develop both short- and long-term implementation plans for the unit, assessing current programming efforts and making necessary adjustments to ensure excellent service to our students. As the leader of this unit, the Director supervises the department staff, providing overall direction in mission and vision for the program, with support from the AVP of Student and Campus Life for Campus and Community Engagement.
