Assist with battery room evaluations that are used as backup or UPS. The evaluation entails:

* Determination of worst-case battery off-gassing potential due to charging current and electrolyte volume

* Calculation of estimated hydrogen gas evolution during battery off-gassing events

* Review of potential and best practice replacement options for lead-acid batteries

* Review of the IEEE battery standard and any other applicable standards to help identify which part(s) apply to our work setting

* Work with the IH department to provide the best path forward for battery room safety. Help IH determine the risk associated with the batteries and what needs to be done to mitigate the risks.

* Assist in refining battery room evaluations and desktop instructions

* Standardize issue tracking/battery room inventory status and provide regular performance metrics

* Perform other duties as assigned
