This position will be based at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Provide analyses and decision support information for the Air Force Enterprise.


• Approving Official to make system/network risk management determinations for an Authorization to Operate (ATO).


• Prepare and maintain correct, thorough, and timely inputs to the accreditation packages and all artifacts needed in accordance with current network accreditation processes.


• Audit and conduct ACAS scan to ensure ongoing security of the network and implement security orders and directives.


• Manage EMSEC, TEMPEST, and COMSEC.

Job Requirements

• An active DoD Top Secret (or higher) Clearance with SCI eligibility is required.


• Associate's Degree in a related field (preferred), or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience (3 years).


• With an Associate's Degree, the Information Assurance Engineer must have 5+ years' experience in Security Assessment & Authorization of Classified Programs, National Security Systems, using NIST, AF, and DoD policies and guidance. Without a degree, 8 years of experience is required.


• Candidate required to meet IAT Level II DoD 8570.01-M certification requirements (e.g. - CompTIA Security+ OR a CISSP).


• Experience with eMASS, Xacta IA Manager, vulnerability scanning using ACAS, EMSEC, COMSEC.


• Security design of LANs and Wide Area Networks (WANs).


• Strong working knowledge of RMF and ACAS.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Ability to work well with others.


• Exceptional organizational skills.


• Familiarity with DoD environment desired.


• The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship.
