The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for the implementation and execution of sophisticated, highly dynamic email campaigns for our diverse client base. The use of advanced problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills will play a critical role in delivering innovative solutions for email production efficiency and accuracy. This role is also responsible for working closely with business and technology stakeholders to define and advance our Email Marketing strategy, infrastructure, and operating model in support of corporate and departmental objectives.
Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the Marketing email program and team-with accountability for planning, campaign setup, audience segmentation, data-driven logic, development, deployment, controls, monitoring, and reporting
Partner closely with IT, Data, Insights & Analytics, and Digital teams to prioritize, execute, integrate, maintain, and measure marketing programs and campaigns
Recommend and implement email strategies to improve outputs and outcomes, including content presentation, AB testing, and progressive, behavior-triggered campaigns
Support client engagement strategy through execution of commercial and transaction emails from development to audience segmentation, scheduling, testing and reporting using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Manage enterprise email marketing tools and vendors.
Maintain and deliver on a roadmap to advance use, adoption, and functionality enhancement
Create and maintain complex, device optimized emails and email templates supporting extensive variability
Perform quality assurance/control reviews to ensure flawless execution and on-time delivery of email deployments.
Produce and analyze campaign reporting to provide actionable insights and further learning/testing agendas.
Create and maintain robust campaign and process documentation
Understand and champion industry best practices for deliverability, privacy, CAN-SPAM, and web accessibility/ADA compliance
Balance adherence to standard processes and best practices with adaptability to respond to changing business priorities.
Responsible for keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement, and to optimize how we meet business objectives.
Protect, secure, and properly handle all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients

Supervision
Supervise, coach, and develop a team of email developers.
Represent Marketing at key meetings on operational initiatives to present marketing ideas and secure buy-in from leaders and stakeholders
Oversee the progression of key operational initiatives from conception to completion
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in email marketing; financial services or other regulated industry experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required
Proven experience managing, building, and motivating teams
Passionate about email and marketing automation trends, processes, and technologies
Expertise using 3rd party email service providers and/or marketing automation platforms; Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience highly desirable
Experience working with highly complex data models and variable content logic
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as adaptive/responsive coding techniques
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence
Highly collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills. Equally comfortable communicating with Content and Design as with Technology and Operations.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills as well as an attention to detail
Experience using email marketing and project management tools such as Litmus, Workfront a plus
Working knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI
Project Management experience preferred
