Job Description:

Job Summary


Under general supervision is responsible for processing customer orders and providing service support.


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Provide prompt and professional customer service in support of the sales order fulfillment process to include order status information, shipment inquiries, order issue resolution, etc.

  • Utilize an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution or other software suite to complete order distribution, logistics, and processing.

  • Run and provide informational reports as required or deemed necessary; distribute monthly reports.

  • Maintain process and communication documentation for each account.

  • Review sales orders for completeness; work with internal and/or external sales representatives to resolve issues prior to requesting routing from customers

  • Confirm purchase orders in customers' data bases (where applicable) and request transportation routing.

  • Navigate through customer portals (websites) to request routing and communicate with customers.

  • Review and refer to customer routing guides to understand compliance requirements.

  • Release sales orders per customer routing (ship dates).

  • Complete customer score cards, ensuring completion by set due dates.

  • Review customer fines/chargebacks; gather supporting documentation to dispute


Qualification Requirements


Minimum Education:



  • High school diploma or completion of GED equivalent.



Minimum Experience:


  • Three (3) years of logistic, traffic planning, and/or customer service experience within the consumer goods manufacturing or distribution industries.

Licensure/Certification(s):


  • None.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Knowledge of the sales fulfillment and support functions.

  • Proficiency using a Personal Computer (PC) to include Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Proficiency using an ERP solution (i.e., SAP) or similar platform.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

  • Good customer service skills and the ability to professionally interact with customers and present a favorable image of the company.

  • Time management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work flexible or non-traditional hours when necessary and as appropriate to meet customer needs.

  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.

  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.

  • Proficiency in Math
