New Business Innovation is a cross-functional group of innovators who work in small, agile project teams to research, prototype, and pilot new business models. We manage a portfolio of projects at various stages of development. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Open Innovation team who partners with startups to apply their expertise and technology to new concepts within Steelcase.
What you will be doing:You will tackle a few projects related to trending technologies and new business concepts. You'd likely help the innovation team scan and scout for new startups and technology that will lead to key insights for new concepts. We know you'll enjoy utilizing your business/marketing strategy, and business model acumen assisting with new concepts that Steelcase is exploring. Your work will be related to corporate innovation strategy, prototype creation/validation, and scouting new technologies. Most successful students feel comfortable or "literate" working in all three innovation areas (desirability, feasibility, viability).

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Masters of Des or MBA


• Interested in a start up environment
