The primary role of the Learning & Development Compliance Analyst is to execute and provide service support the firm’s continued professional education initiatives. Keeping our Team Members current and active with their license requirements while managing their educational credit needs is the key to success in this role.  This position proactively reviews compliance status and works with Team Members to administer compliance related to continued professional education.  This position performs day-to-day functions for the Firm using established systems, procedures and reports, while seeking process improvement methods to deliver the best service possible.  This position directly reports to the Manager of Learning & Development.


This role will include some consulting to clarify opportunities, identifying or creating appropriate solutions, and implementing solutions based on direction and input from multiple stakeholders.  By staying ahead of the latest learning and CPE trends, our Team Members can be offered new and creative ways to solve our clients’ biggest needs while staying in compliance.


Key Responsibilities:


The Learning & Development Compliance Analyst job duties include, but are not limited to:



  • Ensures Focus Area trainings meet NASBA compliance requirements.

  • Manages certification/membership requirements and renewal process.

  • Supports CPE Training by documenting CPE credits, administering PEER review, and coordinating CPE training as necessary.

  • Coordinates and tracks all CPE applications, registrations, payments, and credits through external sponsors

  • Maintains and administers necessary documentation for firm mandatory PEER Review requirements.

  • Responds to accountancy board inquiries and audit requests.

  • Maintains current knowledge of all exam and state specific licensing-related information and materials.

  • Manages and provides awareness/updates to team members regarding the firm’s online CPE tracking program.

  • Manages RSM learning online training platform and course assignment.

  • Ensures the tracking of any State Board rule changes for compliance, and communicates as necessary.

  • Participates in and/or conduct CPE onboarding training sessions, as needed.

  • Provide recommendation of opportunities for process improvement and business workflows.

  • Assist with the planning, organizing, and coordinating functions relating to the learning operation.

  • Managing and implementing firmwide mandatory compliance.

  • Coordinates and executes Assurance and Tax level trainings.

  • Knowledgeable of all exam and licensing related information to provide awareness to Team Members.

  • Administer LMS accounts, authorizations and reporting functionality.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:



  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to learn other required computer programs.

  • Demonstrate critical thinking/problem solving skills & project planning.

  • CPE/NASBA knowledge.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Basic understanding of high-level adult learning and learning programs.

  • Able to access, research, and recommend solutions to complex scenarios.

  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to details.

  • Ability to proactively collaborate with Focus Areas with limited supervision.

  • Ability to switch between project deliverables and the daily tasks while maintaining a high level of quality.

Required Qualifications:



  • An Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a professional office environment is required.

  • Continuing Professional Education/Licensing experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong planning, multi-tasking, organizational skills, close attention to detail, working with a sense of urgency and accuracy are required.

  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Self-starter and quick-study with minimum supervision.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional research skills and high attention to detail.

  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
