Who we are looking for

As a Director of Sales, you will have the opportunity to lead a team with growth responsibility of the Charles River Investment Management platform. You will be a core member of the Sales leadership team with accountability for the below:

The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.

What you will be responsible for

As Director, Sales you will


  • Recruit, Train and Retain top tier talent

  • Coach on value-based selling

  • Coach on Miller Heiman and proper sales qualification

  • Provide executive level support on deals

  • Manage select individual deals to closure

  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to executive stakeholders

  • Implement plans to drive outbound pipeline growth

  • Drive consistency of sales process and repeatability for scale

  • Ability to mentor and train sales professionals

  • Having key skills like excellent communications, high energy, and strong decision-making skills

  • Experience in managing software sales cycles and the ability to close on complex deals

  • Building both internal and external relationships with key stakeholders

Education & Preferred Qualifications


  • 3+ years in sales management or player/coach roles, and proven track record of building/leading/motivating successful teams.

  • 10+ years experience working in the enterprise tech space, preferably in investment management enterprise technology / Fintech

  • Experience in consultative selling on large deals with multiple buyers and lengthy sales cycle

  • Exceptional Communication Skills and ability to work across multiple teams

  • SFDC competence

  • Ability to rigorously inspect deals and ensure success

  • Experience putting strategic selling into practice
