Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General:

    • Deal with high-volume customer interactions and be consistently outgoing, upbeat, and cheerful.
    • Circulates throughout the slot floor, maintaining visibility for guests.
    • Build guest relations throughout every shift by talking with customers, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back.
    • Observe all activity within assigned area, offering assistance and instruction on machine functions and payouts to slot players.
    • Know the various types of slot machines.
    • Troubleshoots and repairs minor problems at the machine. Documents those repairs unable to fix at machine level with Slot Dispatch.
    • Prepares slot payoff requests up to $20,000.00 and tax forms for jackpots, obtaining verification and payment as appropriate, in a manner consistent with company SOPs.
    • Verifies jackpots to be paid and ensures they are paid accurately.
    • Authorizing jackpot overrides and beefs.
    • Replenish slot machine e-tickets when necessary and redeem e-tickets for guests.
    • Be familiar with Title 31 guidelines, and understand and utilize suspicious activity reports for casinos (SARC) when necessary.
    • Maintain monetary and paperwork accuracy and efficiency within department/property standards.
    • Provides information to guests, such as how to play various gaming machines, how to use Isle Play, and general information about the casino, marketing events, and games offered.
    • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
    • Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel - seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.


    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.

      • Assist in maintaining a spotless casino by disposing of any cups, glasses, bottles, or other items left on the floor by guests. Line up slot chairs by the machines in the assigned areas.
      • Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.

  • Operating Principles : Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to: Clean - Keep all areas clean and pristine; Safe - Follow all safety policies and procedures; Friendly - Use customer courtesy skills of See Say Smile to provide superior guest service; Fun - Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.
  • Tools and Technology : Use of hand-held radio, hand-held scanner, money pouch, telephone and PBX system, and other slot-related tools and supplies and desktop computer.
  • Licensure : Must be able to obtain and maintain a 1051 Slot "Professional" License. Must be at least 21 years of age. Five (3) years of tax returns required.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Two to Five years experience in gaming preferable in slots with a 2-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of gaming laws and regulations.
  • Skills: Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times; Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems; Monitoring/Assessing performance of oneself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

  • Physical Demands: Required to walk and stand for entire shift; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment: A casino environment exposed to bright flashing lights, noise, smoke and varied temperatures. Use of elevator and stairs.
