This position crafts run-the business messages for our field employees, leads medium-sized projects and acts as an associate editor for one or more field newsletters. The role must balance the day-to-day business needs and projects with minimal leader support. This is a fast-paced role working with cross-functional partners to deliver world-class communication solutions.
This individual will support all field audiences, inclusive of communication planning, writing in a human style, editing and publishing. This person is responsible for strategically and thoughtfully thinking about all audiences to create a holistic communication plan.
This position will:
Work with partners daily to consult and provide communication recommendations for run-the-business needs.
Lead medium-sized project as needed. With minimal leader guidance, gain project alignment, identify stakeholders and approvers and set appropriate timelines with partners. Build communications plans—including impacted audiences, key messages, vehicles/tactics, and dates/sequencing.
Execute communication plans across businesses and capabilities, encouraging behavior changes and forward motion on the change curve through communication tactics.
Act as an associate editor for one or more field newsletters, with full responsibility for the vehicle in terms of content, prioritization, audience needs and audience targeting.
Excel at understanding and tailoring messages based on communication vehicle or tactic and audience.
Create engaging content, through the use of storytelling that is a vision of great, exceeding style guide expectation.

People Management and Leadership
This role may lead people although the current opening will not have direct reports at this time.
Strong peer leadership and the ability to influence without authority is a plus.
What skills will help you succeed in this role?
Strong writing, editing, proofreading skills are required.
Ability to build a complex communications plan—including impacted audiences, vehicles, dates, sequencing and stakeholder review(s).
Ability to build a timeline, align partners to the plan, and hold teams accountable to due dates.
Ability to confidently converse and influence at multiple levels within the organization.
Ability to understand complex topics and multiple points of view, then write clear and consistent messaging following Associated Press (AP) guidelines, in a “be human” style, across a wide range of topics and audiences.
Strong time management and organizational skills are essential in this role.
Candidate should have high level of emotional intelligence and growth mindset and be able to collaborate and build strong relationships with partners.
Be comfortable influencing and driving work in a fast-paced, highly matrixed and ambiguous environment.
Consults with partners or leaders to provide the voice of the employee and customer to our business partners.
Required Qualifications:
3-4 years communications, public relations, marketing or related experience.
Ability to provide weekend on-call support a couple of times per quarter, sometimes more during the holiday season.
Preferred Qualifications:
2-3 years of Associated Press (AP) style writing.
2-3 years project management/coordinator or related experience.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office apps, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Suite, content/knowledge management systems.
