About this position
The Client Engagement Specialist is a part of the Workplace Investor team and engages terminated workplace participants, in a call center environment, to develop and cultivate relationships with a primary focus on client/asset retention. These associates provide education-based interactions to help participants make informed decisions regarding their tax deferred retirement savings. This is accomplished by providing service excellence during all client interactions, while also finding opportunities that contribute to Enterprise Retention. She or he handles sophisticated requests related to various workplace investor plans and products, helps participants select individualized solutions that best meet their unique needs. Successful outcomes include increased client satisfaction and the retention of assets to the firm.
She or he provides extraordinary service, education, asset retention, and will refer opportunities to Financial Consultants when appropriate. They handle solutions from end to end acting as a single point of contact for simple and the most sophisticated client requests.
Role Summary
Provides high-quality service for T. Rowe Price Workplace Participants and works with plan sponsors and other partner groups to develop and cultivate relationships. Ensures satisfaction, swift response to client needs, efficient problem resolution, contract and operational compliance, and risk mitigation. Identifies account growth opportunities and promotes these to assigned clients. The Client Engagement Specialist will actively contribute to Enterprise Retention goals through the identification and referral of opportunities while servicing the unique needs of terminated participants. May have defined, but limited, referral and asset retention percentage targets.
Responsibilities
Provides service excellence while identifying and qualifying appropriate prospects and may refer to a more senior member of the team to advance relationships. Begins to grow knowledge of the assigned clients, their sensitivities, and their business needs to affect their decision-making.
Proactively finds opportunities to retain assets and increase a greater share of wallet by using a consultative conversation framework and by demonstrating financial acumen, the T. Rowe Price brand, and industry insights.
Utilizes internal CRM and other internal database systems to maintain client relationship records, execute trades and transactions with accuracy, and meets standards for accuracy and compliance.
Builds upon existing relationships with investors while communicating basic new product and service developments and may coordinate retention and acquisition opportunities to other team members with different specialization.
Qualifications
Required
o Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
o 0-2+ years of total relevant work experience
o Direct sales experience
Preferred
o 2+ years experiencing working with retirement plans or within financial services
o FINRA series 6/63 (must be obtained within 6 months of accepting the role)
o Bilingual written and verbal communication skills (Spanish/English)
