About This Position

The Data & Reporting Specialist plays a key role within the Individual Investor (II) Data Management team. The II business is responsible for over $200B in client assets and serves 1.3 million investors. This role supports production and project related data needs associated with our operational data platform, which is the foundation for all transactional and client data.

They will be comfortable using multiple T. Rowe Price systems to conduct data research and perform data quality monitoring and correction. The candidate will have business data expertise and strong problem-solving skills.

Role Summary

Independently compiles, synthesizes, and reports on T. Rowe Price or client data; provides support with access, maintenance, and security activities. Manages complex databases, feeds, etc., and assists with more complex data sources. Conducts calculations or reporting for more senior colleagues. May oversee the workflow of a data management support team and provides guidance to more junior staff. Supports the creation and delivery of standardized reports as well as ad hoc reports.

Responsibilities


  • Support day-to-day data management activities by monitoring complex databases and spreadsheet; adds and maintains data on T. Rowe Price systems; inputs and verifies accuracy of information, while also verifying information entered by more junior team members is accurate.

  • Monitor data feeds and perform data scrubbing for the Data management team and escalate data issues to more senior professions and management.

  • Handle basic inquiries related to customer privacy, customer data, and processing issues within a specific product/plan, and investigate and document data protection/privacy violations, exceptions, or occurrences exceeding tolerance thresholds.

  • Provide immediate and accurate feedback to representatives across appropriate business lines regarding errors in line with established policies and procedures and provides guidance to more junior staff.

  • Provide information based on a variety of data-related questions from internal and external clients and may help provide solutions.

  • Ensures that all customer responses are thoroughly documented and verified.

  • Test software enhancements and upgrades as necessary and may provide recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND  4+ years of total relevant work experience

Regional Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Preferred qualifications


  • Experience working in and around Brokerage

  • Prior knowledge of T. Rowe Price systems and products

  • Business data expertise

  • A high degree of intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working with multiple priorities in a dynamic organization
