Your Responsibilities

As a Dynamic Systems Modeling Engineer for John Deere Construction & Forestrylocated in Dubuque, IA, you will....


  • Provide direct analytical support to one product-line
  • Develop physics-based simulation models to support virtual full-vehicle performance testing and product design decisions
  • Collaborate with product design teams to define continuous improvement opportunities, expand virtual test capability, and correlate simulation with physical test results
  • Develop a growing understanding of product function, customer application, and machine operation

What Skills You Need


  • Applied engineering experience from internships, co-op(s)or educational coursework
  • Fundamental understanding of physical systems and mathematics
  • Basic understanding in controls, hydraulics, powertrainand/or structural linkages
  • Experience analyzing data
  • Ability to document and present technical work
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Experience using MATLAB, Simscapeand Simulink software for simulation of mechanical systems
  • Deep understanding in embedded- controls, hydraulic systems, powertrainand/or structural linkages
  • Advanced Degree in an engineering discipline

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelorof Science Degree in an engineering discipline
