Maintenance Technician III

The Maintenance Technician III  will support all technical aspects of the operation during production.  This includes the complete understanding and control of all critical process parameters.

Key responsibilities:

• Participates in departmental meetings/teleconferences and provides technical input on action items


• Provides input to key colleagues for DFS strategy development and implementation


• Manages implementation of major DFS projects as directed by supervision


• Total responsibility for all mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.


• Total responsibility to maintain and update departmental PM program for all equipment including maintenance of EAMS software.


• Total responsibility for sourcing, inventory, and maintenance of spare parts for all critical equipment and processes.


• To support necessary technical functions of the DFS operation.  This will include new process and equipment startup, implementation, and validation.


• Works closely with all DFS colleagues to develop and implement process improvement projects from inception to completion.


• Must be able to work the appropriate shift required for this position.


• Must be able to work overtime – more than 40 hours per week or 8 hours per day.


• Attendance on plant site/office site is essential.


• Must be able to work weekends or holidays as business needs dictate.


• The Maintenance Technician III provides backup for other Maintenance Technicians.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key requirements:

• High school graduate / GED as a minimum requirement.


• Experience in capsule manufacturing preferred.


• PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.


• Must be able to interact with colleagues at all levels of the business.


• Must be able to make timely and sound business decisions.


• Must be able to work in intense situations, manage work stress and pressure.


• Must be able to successfully pass a color vision screening assessment.


• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 35 lbs. on an occasional basis.
