Summary


The primary duty of this position is to provide technical solutions and support of the Yardi system and all integrated software systems for Centerspace.


Expectations


Provided with parameters but not explicit instructions. Instrumental in devising solutions. Able to comprehend complex issues and provide suggestions for problem-solving. Requires little supervision and is self-directed. Able to prioritize, set and meet deadlines.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:



  • Provide technical support to end users through prioritizing and managing Support Center requests to ensure time sensitive issues are handled quickly and efficiently

  • Works closely with functional leads to create and develop advance reporting within Yardi

  • Knowledge of Yardi's YSR, working independently to design and develop reporting solutions for end users

  • Proficient in working with Yardi databases to stage, test, and train system users on new features

  • Experience with integrating Yardi data into open platforms via data warehouse or Business Intelligence software

  • Provide technical support with system upgrades, implementations, integrations, releases and maintenance

  • Collect and understand reporting requirements to developing custom reports

  • Assist in leading functional discussions to collect critical business requirements from functional leaders throughout the organization

  • Work with technology stakeholders in architecting technology solutions based on critical business requirements

  • Provide guidance to leadership on technology initiatives related to Yardi

  • Setup and manage user and group security access of all Yardi modules

  • Manage third party application integration with Yardi suite

  • Lead in the planning, development and implementation of Yardi modules and Yardi enhancements

  • Manage Yardi software updates

  • Triage incoming help desk requests or service issues and identify trends to make recommendations for training opportunities or gaps in processes

  • Research issues, determine when an issue needs to be sent to external support, and act as the liaison between external support and the end user through resolution

  • Facilitate recurring systems training and troubleshooting for all Yardi users

  • Assist in company-wide security compliance across all systems and users

  • Responsible for managing security roles within Yardi

  • Responsible for public/internal audit of Yardi system including controls testing

  • Education and/or Experience - Bachelor's degree in a computer related field required; and two to three years Yardi administration related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Travel - Travel to other Centerspace locations may be required. Normally works a standard day-time shift, however it may be required to work evenings, nights, and/or weekends for certain upgrades and repairs.


  • Driving Requirements - Valid driver's license is required.


  • Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.


  • Work Environment - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts or risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Computer Skills - A working knowledge of management information systems is required. To perform this job successfully, an individual should be familiar with standard business and office software packages (Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc). Advanced knowledge of Yardi operating system architectures. Intermediate knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities.
