The ECS headquarters team provides key support for its electrical and mechanical companies, including finance and accounting, human resources, legal, national purchasing, and information technology.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Operations & Integration (ECS) is professional, focused, and competent in the significant operational and financial aspects of the construction industry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing routine oversight and mentoring of ECS operating companies' operational performance through periodic company and jobsite visits as well as monthly and quarterly review of WIP and other operational reports. The Director, Operations & Integration actively communicates up and down the organizational chain about observed risks and opportunities that will keep the business aligned with EMCOR's core values and mission objectives. The Director, Operations & Integration additionally works closely with corporate and segment management on both acquisition due diligence and integration to ensure a smooth and efficient transition of newly acquired entities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Periodic operating company visits and/or major project visits aimed at evaluating the operational performance and processes of individual operating companies


• Occasionally participating in operating company WIP meetings, and otherwise carefully reviewing WIP's on a monthly basis to assist management in identifying potential risks/ exposures in project execution


• Reviewing operational and financial reports to help management identify trends, which may be indicative of the need to monitor the operational performance of specific operating companies more closely


• Assisting the M&A Group of EMCOR Group, Inc. in the performance of due diligence on acquisitions of other electrical/mechanical companies


• Assisting the M&A Group of EMCOR Group, Inc. with the integration of newly acquired companies, including the adoption of EMCOR policies, procedures, and best practices


• Helping to improve operating company processes and procedures by providing assistance in areas such as: leadership, project management, safety, etc.


• Participating in Peer Group or ECS Conferences with operating company and segment leadership

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance/ accounting, business management, construction, or related areas of study; and minimum of 10 years progressive experience in the construction industry.
