Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities

Summary

Serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander for all administrative support programs such as task management, health care program, fitness program, safety program, Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) accounts, security program, supply program, civilian timecard program, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander for all administrative support programs such as task management, health care program, fitness program, safety program, Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) accounts, security program, supply program, civilian timecard program, etc.

  • Directly assist the commander/director in the management of all NPA functions.

  • Use and prepare documents in accordance with regulations and policies regularly.

  • Serve as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs. Ensure unit program compliance with regulations, laws, policies, and squadron commander directives.

  • Design effective communication plans to publicize unit program requirements, associated policies, and procedures.

  • Serve as a unit liaison to the military and civilian personnel offices.

  • Provide accurate and factual information to the commander(s)/director(s), key staff, and customers.

  • Establish controls and suspense dates and follow up to ensure that required actions and responses are made within deadlines.

  • Establish, maintain, control, and update file system accurately to enable quick and efficient retrieval of information.

  • Prepare and submit paperwork, such as timesheets, travel orders, file plans, and supply requisitions in a timely manner as coordinated with the unit commander

Qualifications and Education Requirements


  • High School diploma

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a squadron-level or higher commanders, directors, etc. support staff

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products in an operational squadron

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, detail oriented

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Able to establish and administer suspense actions, manual and computerized file systems

  • An Active Secret Clearance is required

Language Skills


  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.

  • Will be required to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.

  • Must be able to generate effective oral and written presentations and proposals on complex subjects.

Mathematical Skills

  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts, prices, commissions, and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability


  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable.

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

* This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

* Ability to operate personal computer and communicate via telephone

* Domestic and international travel as required.
