Finvi (formerly Ontario Systems) has a new and exciting position as aQuality Engineer (Software) onourR&D Team.

Location. This position will be remote. Candidate may work where they live anywhere in the United States. This position may also work from any of our office locations in Muncie, Indiana, Vancouver, Washington, Albuquerque, New Mexico or Burlington, Massachusetts.

What You'll Do


  • Design, execute, and continuously improve high-quality automated and manual test solutions for new feature and regression testing.

  • Ensure superior products by testing and verifying functional requirements, usability, and technical communications for all company products.

  • Evaluate the user experience or ease-of-use through the execution of test plans.

  • Represent and deliver a quality perspective to technical staff and act as an internal quality consultant to business or technical partners.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve software test plans and methods.

  • Provide software requirements and design input.

  • Attend group meetings, technical meetings, and presentations.

  • Stay abreast of market and technology changes and increase product and quality assurance knowledge through training.

  • Participate in a Scrum team for software development.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred, or Certificate in Computer Science required (or combination of experience and education).

  • Experience with test strategies and test execution.

  • Skillset/Technologies:

  • Programming Languages (preferred): Node.js, any flavor of C, Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript or another strongly object-oriented language

  • Experience with automated tests and automated test management tools (e.g., Locust, LoadRunner, Cypress.io, Cucumber, Selenium, Jscript, and Visual Studio Test Professional).

  • Experience with at least one of these databases: InterSystems Cache/Globals/Ensemble, any form of SQL, any form of No SQL.

  • Advanced knowledge of virtualization, servers, integrated products, networks, AWS, or Azure and how to test and write test automation in these environments.

  • Good communication, analytical skills, and systems thinking perspective to support investigation of issues in complex product scenarios.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn application and systems functionality quickly.

  • Demonstrate the ability to excel in a highly collaborative, agile, and fast-paced environment.
