Medicare Product Implementation Leader at Emblem Health

Job Description:

Oversee and support critical enterprise integrated product initiatives for Medicare. Identify national, regional and state trends to grow and increase market penetration into Medicare/Medicaid. Create a sustainable, scalable implementation & support process for Medicare across the enterprise.
Work with strategic partners within EmblemHealth to cultivate new vertical client opportunities. Build Medicare implementation forecasting using effective financial budgeting, reporting and analysis processes and systems. Support the Medicare staff post-implementation of projects and sales and support pre-sales activities in collaboration with other departments. Establish a standard, consistent framework and approach through which all implementation ideas and opportunities are evaluated. Manage the team of Product Managers, provide staff training, coaching and evaluation to continuously improve performance.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead and direct team of product managers on day to day requirements. Responsible for training, coaching and developing product managers.
  • Develop integrated product strategies, benefits and offerings that drive membership growth, revenue, quality and care for EmblemHealth and ConnectiCare.
  • Develop the overall implementation roadmap for improvement opportunities to drive Medicare innovations.
  • Establish a connection with key industry leaders to curate trends and ideas to implement future Medicare products.
  • Communicate strategic recommendations and use influence to gain support from senior leadership and alignment around Medicare strategy within the organization.
  • Develop roadmaps and implementation plans with cross-functional partners to support the execution and operationalization of strategic recommendations.
  • Implement the integrated Medicare plans and own the plan renewal process for the MAP and Medicare Advantage products, among others.
  • Partner with State Sponsored Programs to develop and execute on initiatives company-wide to reach its annual and long-term goals.
  • Oversee the evaluation and execution of organic and inorganic opportunities to drive improved performance.
  • Define and build scalable implementation & support processes that yield a seamless client experience across the Medicare products; create sustainable and accountable feedback loops within Product, Sales and Actuarial departments to reduce implementation time.
  • Work with the Medicare team to continuously improve and structure the process of increase new membership.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the job. Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant, professional work experience, including 5+ years in government programs healthcare. (R)
  • Knowledge of the policies, procedures, contractual requirements and operation of Medicare programs. (R)
  • Knowledge of the demographic, geographic, cultural and socioeconomic composition of the senior markets. (R)
  • Strong problem structuring and solving skills – including data structuring, quantitative reasoning, and implementation. (R)
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills; ability to collaborate with internal customers at all levels. (R)
  • Exceptional communications skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal), with all levels/types of audiences. (R)
  • Entrepreneurial environment working experience; ability to drive results in legacy company while building relationships. (R)
  • A self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment as well as independently. (R)
  • Strong attention to detail, prioritizing/organizing skills; ability to manage multiple projects to completion. (R)
