Your Responsibilities

As a Product Engineer for John Deere Turf and Compact Utility Business located in Horicon, WI, you will p roduce and evaluate design solutions for Premium Riding Lawn Equipment to improve cost, quality and performance. In addition, you will:

• Provide technical support to supply management, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, and marketing.
• Analyze and optimize design solutions to ensure all requirements are met. (i.e. functional operation, reliability, part cost, tooling cost, appearance, safety, serviceability, standards, compliance, customer requirements, BOM creation/accuracy, etc.).
• Work with manufacturing engineering and suppliers to ensure designs are manufacturable and that the process tolerances will result in a robust design.
• Assist with the Product Verification & Validation planning and create the PV&V activities to request the analysis, lab and field tests required and to set the acceptance criteria.

What Skills You Need

• 1 or more years demonstration of being a self-directed individual with excellent organizational, root cause analysis, and problem solving skills
• 1 or more years demonstration of leveraging excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate within a cross functional team across multiple sites and drive results
• 3 or more months experience using CAD Modeling Software

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or similar equivalent
