As the Project Manager, Lean Operating System, you will lead key strategic projects across the business to deploy a critical Lean operating system driving improvements to our operations at all levels of the organization. You'll work cross-functionally to implement solutions, troubleshoot problems and monitor the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. What you'll do on a typical day:


  • Lead the deployment of the GXO Operating System as the subject matter expert

  • Create and execute project plans, manage milestones and risks and ensure deployment resources are capable

  • Develop training, tools, templates and dashboards to measure the deployment status

  • Work with business process owners to identify and scope areas of opportunity

  • Provide leadership for project execution; offer direction and guidance to the project team and communicate project requirements to stakeholders and operations leaders

  • Build solid relationships and collaborate with leadership to support company and site-specific goals

  • Support implementation project managers and team members for system deployment during new site implementations

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field or equivalent related work or military experience

  • 1 year of experience in operations, preferably in manufacturing or logistics

  • Lean or Six Sigma experience

  • Project management experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Experience training and coaching leaders

  • Lean or Six Sigma Certification

  • PMP Certification

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule

  • Availability to travel up to 40%, and at times up to 75% when needed

  • Smartsheet project planning experience

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • The self-motivation to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment
