Role:


The Business Process Manager is responsible for developing and leading the planning and analytics function within Property Management. The Business Process Manager collaborates with other business lines to solve problems and revolutionize our business processes through manual process, workflow, technology, software and system enhancements. This position ensures business process outcomes are in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals. The Business Process Manager serves as department liaison with other business lines, taking the principal role in representing the department’s interest in the systems development life cycle.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Provide oversight and direction to the Reporting and Analytics manager(s) and team members responsible for developing queries and reports to support the operational and data needs of the Property Management organization. Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.

  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed.

  • Collaborate with business partners to synthesize business problems and provide business insights through analytics that are actionable, impactful, and relevant.

  • Serve as an escalation point for teams to facilitate internal meetings with team members to break down barriers and keep analysis on track. 

  • Manage team to ensure assigned analysis are well coordinated, tracked, and completed on time and within scope. 

  • Research, design, and prioritize development of systems, reports, and tools. Effectively manages competing priorities and adapts quickly to business environment changes. Function as business owner for systems development projects.  Advocate for department in design/development meetings.

  • Recruit inter-departmental representation to serve as subject matter experts for systems enhancement projects to achieve the desired business goals of the organization.

  • Ensure that system and tools are adequate and properly utilized. Propose and develop enhancements to consistently pursue continuous improvement.

  • Manage and conduct training related to reporting and systems enhancements to educate business users responsible for the operation and management of various business processes.

  • Develop process, procedures, and standards to accomplish specific business objectives and to ensure system usage consistency among teams.

  • Understand the department’s processes and use of systems, reports and tools and function as a subject matter expert having an in-depth understanding of business operations

  • Maintain a strong and collaborative relationship with business and IT partners to optimize the management of business processes and seek new approaches to solve problems

  • Excellent coaching and motivating skills to engage, inspire, and empower employees to provide input into the process change and embrace the new process once implemented

  • Effective thought leader, process improver and strategic partner, with the ability to build relationships and implement strategy

  • Ability to work in agile methodology

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with and communicate confidently with all levels of staff and management

  • Strong financial acumen to interpret and apply understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions

  • Expert knowledge of Business Process Management and Project Management Tools

  • Expert in Crown application process and all associated systems and tools preferred

  • Effective time management skills to support multiple projects, administer process changes, and solve process and system-related challenges

 


Education/Certifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field

Experience/Minimum Requirements



  • Minimum seven (7) years of business process management experience including, systems development, process development and improvement, and agile methodology

  • Five (5) years of people management experience

  • Advanced proficiency with relational databases and Microsoft Office (MS Teams) software

Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable):  Manager of Business Analytics, Project Manager, Business Intelligence Developer, Sr. Data Analyst


 


Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week).  There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that may require travel.
