The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Shift Engineer and is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of plant machinery as well as conducting preventative maintenance checks.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, update and repair malfunctioning plant equipment
Perform routine mechanical or machining maintenance activities on equipment
Perform daily checks of plant support systems including air compressors, fire suppression, and machine chillers; take readings, fill out corresponding checklists, and turn in weekly
Participate in preventative maintenance program based on OEMs (Original Equipment Manuals) for plant equipment, machinery, and related facilities
Maintain record of work orders, repairs done, and parts used

Education/Credentials/Certifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Specialized training in mechanics trade or related field preferred
3-5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance in a manufacturing setting
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent mechanical skills
Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulics, and basic electrical
Knowledge of fabrication
Ability to convert metric to standard and basic mathematical ability
Excellent reasoning and problem solving ability
Ability to follow step-by-step instructions
Ability to operate a variety of maintenance equipment in a safe and effective manner
Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn functionality of new equipment and systems
