This job is located at the Howard G. Mullett Ice Center (700 North Ave., Hartland, WI 53029).

SUMMARY
Under direction and reporting to the HGM Ice Inc. General Manager you will be responsible for overall maintenance for all Mullett Ice Center facilities & equipment, as well as some supervisory responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Perform maintenance of all equipment and facilities including: Ice Surface, refrigeration, ice resurfacer, HVAC equipment, and other routine maintenance to help insure proper and safe operation of the facility on a daily basis. Maintain appropriate records and files as required for all HVAC and refrigeration equipment
Identify, perform and/or schedule on-going and preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment and ice sheets. Prepare, review, and maintain all maintenance records.

* Supervise rink night shift as well as be available on assigned weekends. Perform all operational function in the absence of the General Manager
* Coordinate with General Manager in scheduling ice for programs including camps and clinics to maximize ice sales. Assist with arena run programs and activities as needed

Assist in hiring, supervision, evaluation and training of any part time staff
Maintain inventory, equipment and supplies
Coordinate and maintain regular custodial schedule to ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility
Manage concessions, help with inventory, oversee cleaning check list and maintain safe food handling practices
Maintain up to date food handler's licenses
Responsible for daily register closeouts, reconciliation and deposits
Supervise and review work performed by concession employees ensuring policies and practices are followed
Communicate, train, and enforce school and ice arena rules while on duty
Regular maintenance of the grounds, i.e. walk way snow removal, general landscaping
Coordinate and complete regular custodial tasks to ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the arena
Establish and maintain standards for maintenance and cleaning
Responsible for supervision of special events and high school hockey games (shared with GM)
Collaborate with AHS and HGM Ice Inc. Board to develop vision and long range strategies (shared with Bus. Mgr & GM)
Develop and maintain strong communication ties between customers, potential customers, staff, vendors and AHS (shared with Bus. Mgr & GM)
Keeps up with best practices (continued education) with regards to rink management (shared with GM & Facilities Mgr)

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a related discipline
Three years proven facility management experience including one or more years of supervisory responsibilities
Extensive knowledge of ice facility operations including refrigeration equipment and ice resurfacers
Self-motivated, energetic team player able to deal with fast paced environment
Sound organizational and communication skills, including time-management, and personal interface skills (people skills)
Familiarity with both hockey and figure skating requirements
Flexibility with work schedule - nights, weekends, and holidays
