Our solutions include wearable and IoT sensors to track activity, detect emergency events, and assess current and future physical and mental health of seniors.

We are looking for a hands-on, creative, and collaborative SQA Automation Engineer to join our diverse team and drive the quality of our products and services to the next level. As an SQA automation engineer, you will work closely with software engineers, research scientists, and test engineers and build efficient and effective CI/CD strategies that increase the speed and quality of our product development. You will develop, implement, and troubleshoot automated test tools, frameworks, and scripts. You will contribute to debugging software applications, APIs, and provide regular feedback on QA to our team. You will work closely within our agile software development process and have an important impact on the team

What will you do?


  • Build efficient and effective CI/CD strategies that increase the speed and quality of our product development

  • Develop, implement, and troubleshoot automated test tools, frameworks, and scripts

  • Debugging software applications, APIs, and provide regular feedback on QA to team


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, related field, OR equivalent combination of education and/or professional experience

  • 3 years of overall SQA experience (with at least 2 years of automation) including test planning, execution, status reporting and/or dashboarding

  • 2+ years programming with at least one modern language (i.e., Java, JavaScript, Python, shell scripting)

  • Understanding of software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.

  • Strong background and hands-on experience with continuous integration tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), software version control(git), virtualization, containerization (i.e., Docker), and testing frameworks (i.e., Selenium, Junit, Jest, qtest),


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and/or testing application software and embedded software for wearables.

  • Experience with electronic board level and automated HW testing (i.e., LabVIEW)

  • Knowledge of Android and/or iOS mobile platforms

  • Familiarity with medical device design controls including ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 as well as FCC compliance

Best Buy Health Technology Solutions teams are working in a hybrid work model. Most roles can be predominantly work from home but the person who fills this role will must be within a commutable distance to Boston, MA.
