Job Summary: As a Product Marketing Specialist for Equinix Metal, you will work closely with Product Management and Marketing Programs teams to effectively position and launch Equinix Metal offerings. A Product Marketing Specialist evangelizes service offerings and promoting them to multiple internal and external stakeholders.  

This global role will be responsible for launching Equinix Metal offerings and should understand how to orchestrate, manage and execute global integrated marketing programs. A key component of success is the ability to align the content, timing, and delivery of GTM strategy. Drive product and service launches.  Create positioning and content that will drive/influence product adoption.  

Responsibilities 


  • Partner closely with Equinix Product Management on developing and marketing new support service offerings that will accelerate the adoption of Equinix Metal – including Sales updates, Promotions, Collateral and Training. 


  • Work with marketing Content and Programs, Brand Management, Digital Marketing and Segment teams to ensure cross-functional alignment and marketing effectiveness. 


  • Assist in the development of product positioning and messaging that helps establish the need for Equinix Metal in the market and differentiate it against the competition. 


  • Work with Product Management and Enablement teams to support an effective selling process including the creation and localization of sales tools and training. 



  • Provide guidance to regional product and marketing teams on themes for campaigns and events, ensuring they are equipped with content to deliver to customers/prospects. 


  • Be an expert in understanding the markets we serve as well as the competitive landscape in which we operate. 


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate plans to increase awareness, demand, and execute product line-specific go-to-market strategies (GTM) and plans associated with the existing product portfolio and new product launches. 


  • Build and drive comprehensive plans with regional counterparts regarding awareness, nurture, inbound/outbound activation, influencer relations, demand generation and promotions. 


  • Combine product and platform capabilities into compelling solutions for customer’s critical IT business problems. 



  • Work with the regional teams globally to gain "voice of the customer" to drive market-based product development and enhancements to existing products.


  • Work with sales enablement, solution architects, other groups to identify and fill knowledge gaps across all sales teams, direct and indirect. 


  • Own and manage key internal and external collateral such as pitch decks, datasheets, product pages on Equinix.com, and customer communications. 


  • Support customer meetings, industry conferences, analyst briefings, and partner forums as the product Subject Matter Expert (SME). 


  • Act as a global expert on the competitive landscape, market requirements and overall product needs for the region.



  • Manage global product positioning and messaging that establishes the need for Equinix products in the market and differentiates them against competition, substitutes, and other portfolio products. 


  • Effectively leverage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders throughout the company and ensure alignment in cross-functional priorities and activities. 


Qualifications 


  • 3+ years of product marketing experience with cloud service providers, managed service providers, or network service providers. 


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or IT field of study preferred, consulting experience or an MBA is a plus. 



  • Ability to analyze business issues and identify, design & implement effective practical recommendations. 


  • Customer-facing and market-facing experience. 


  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with marketing peers, sales leadership and key functional areas within the business. 


  • Culturally aware and adept at working across multiple geographies.


  • Up to 10% travel, mostly domestic, some international.

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is "68K – 90K per year with 15% bonus target.
