Your day.

As a HIM Specialist III you need to know how to:

Performs specialized health information activities necessary to organize, maintain and use electronic and paper patient health records. This position will process and/or provide electronic and paper health information to various customers in a timely manner; maintain health information in a confidential manner and secure environment. Performs physician and clinician support, electronic health record analysis, data integrity activities and release of information functions.

High School Diploma or equivalent, required

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a comparable setting, required

Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA); Intermediate knowledge of medical terminology; HIM department experience; Experience with electronic health records, preferred
