Opportunity:

The Content Marketing Specialist will be responsible for helping to execute on Learning Tree's digital and content marketing strategy to reach, attain and retain new clients/customers, and involved in multiple marketing projects with responsibilities that include the curation of Learning Tree's social media presence and blogger relations, as well as the creation and output of compelling marketing content for customers and prospects. This position also plays a key traffic-directing role in ensuring smooth execution of interdepartmental marketing requests and content maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess excellent editorial and proofreading skills, can easily juggle multiple projects, priorities and deadlines, and can work effectively with all levels of the organization to secure timely market-ready content.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and create marketing content consistent with nurturing an effective customer journey

  • Play a key traffic-directing role in managing interdepartmental marketing requests

  • Communicate and coordinate with multiple teams and departments across the organization to complete projects

  • Curate Learning Tree's social media channels

  • Coordinate with bloggers to ensure optimal content and maintains the Learning Tree blog

  • Write, edit and proofread marketing materials and content as assigned

  • Create and update web content in MIS and Umbraco

  • Incorporate SEO best practices as recommended into all marketing content to result in increased conversions and rankings

  • Keep abreast of technical developments across curricula and product offerings by researching and reading topical magazines, the web and other resources; reviewing competitive marketing materials

  • Enter marketing tasks into the Content Management System and assist in meeting target deadlines

  • Assist in the maintenance of web pages and source files for proper output to all marketing materials including print pages, web, collateral including: course content (MIS), web pages (Umbraco), email copy, digital marketing campaign copy, campaign landing pages, white papers, eBooks; video scripts, sales aids, case studies, event and webinar presentations, social media content, blogs and more

Competencies:


  • Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent required.

  • 2 years of related experience within a B2B marketing team

  • Interest and willingness to be a team player and assist with overall marketing needs and projects.

  • Familiarity with standard marketing concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Self-starter with a consultative working style and customer service orientation, who can meet changing demands and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Knowledge of social media best practices and experience with social platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, MS Office (emphasis on Excel, SharePoint is helpful), Content Management Tools, are a plus.

  • Detail-oriented and well organized.
