JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective The Early Childhood Programs Data Specialist is an integral member of the Early Childhood Programs Leadership Team. The Data Specialist is responsible for data management, collection, analysis, reporting and planning as it relates to quality, including evaluating and promoting regulatory compliance, accreditation, training, incident management, and quality of service delivery systems.

Essential Functions:
• Ensures Bucks IU Early Childhood Programs data integrity via management of data definitions, policies, and procedures.
• Develops procedures and tools to support accurate data collection, aggregation and analysis.
• Generates and analyzes reports for the purpose of identifying and implementing strategies to contribute to continuous quality improvements ensuring alignment with all federal, state and local regulations and laws including, but not limited to, the Head Start Program Performance Standards and Pre-K Counts Statute, Regulations and Guidelines.
• Assists the Early Childhood Programs Leadership Team in areas of program compliance, quality, health and safety, facilities, The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), ERSEA and risk management.
• Assists the Early Childhood Programs Operations Manager with classroom coverage to ensure teacher/child ratios are met each day.
• Collaborates with Early Childhood Programs Specialist Team to train and onboard all new members of Early Childhood Programs during the New Hire Orientation.
• Creates, disseminates, and organizes paperwork, such as survey forms or reports, for distribution or analysis as related to quality improvement and operations.
• Assists with the coordination of the annual program self-assessment and ongoing program monitoring.
• Prepares for and participates in all federal, state and local monitoring and reviews as they relate to Early Childhood Programs.
• Compiles data for the Program Information Report (PIR).

Supervisory Responsibility: There are no supervisory responsibilities within this role.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment and/or early childhood classrooms with related exposure to communicable diseases. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to lift and carry a child weighing 45 pounds in an emergency. The employee must be physically capable of performing CPR (with appropriate training). The employee must also be able to bend, sit on the floor or in a child's chair and/or squat when working with children .

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position for 260 days per year. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel: This position will require a moderate level of travel.
