Position Description:

The Admitting Representative is responsible for conducting interviews with patients representing the medical center's admission and financial policies and obtains demographic and third party payor information necessary for admission and billing of patient accounts. Informs patients of and collects insurance co-payments, deductibles, or deposits and follows established cash handling procedures. Also ensures the providers schedules are updated daily and authorizations are in place. This is a patient facing position requiring great interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Minimum Requirements:

2+ years experience in outpatient clinic/physician office setting is preferred. Experience and understanding of the hospital, medical environment and government agencies. Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, authorization process. Minimum typing/keyboard skills of 45 WPM.

Bilingual in Spanish is necessary.

High School Diploma required, Associate Degree or Bachelors in a Health related field preferred but not mandatory.
