Payments is a rapidly evolving, high-profile space and JPMorgan Chase (NYSE: JPM), as one of the industry's largest and most important players, has an enormous opportunity to shape its future. JPMorgan Merchant Services (JPMMS) is seeking a Vice President to lead the Finance team that identifies and executes on opportunities to grow revenue and reduce direct expense. Plano, Texas is the preferred location, though Wilmington, Delaware and Tampa, Florida will also be considered.

This is a high exposure role with frequent interactions with senior leaders which requires collaboration across different lines of business including Merchant Services, Treasury Services and Card. This primary goal is to enhance visibility into the performance of the business to facilitate growth in bottom line profitability. We are looking for an analytical, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with strong execution, influencing and partnership skills.

Responsibilities include:


  • Collaborating with leadership to identify, plan and execute opportunities to grow revenue and reduce non labor expenses
  • Analyzing billing and other relevant practices/processes across the business to identify opportunities for enhancements or cost savings
  • Developing fact-based business case assessments to identify opportunities, inform investment decisions, ensure consistency of methodology and measure progress.
  • Establishing a disciplined p roject management and delivery framework for key work streams that includes periodic reporting at the detailed and summary level
  • Providing a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis
  • Organize complex information in a strategic and compelling way, demonstrating strong design acumen and expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Communicating effectively with key business partners to understand projects and drive next steps
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders including Finance, Operations, Technology, Risk, Control, Compliance, Field Strategy and Human Resources to deliver on key initiatives

Qualifications

Successful candidates must be highly organized and efficient self-starters that thrive in a fast-paced, results oriented environment. Acute attention to detail coupled with proven experience managing people and working in cross functional teams are critical for success in the role.

Skills required:


  • 8+ years of experience in operational and financial enablement at a comparable financial institution
  • Creative and critical thinker with ability to apply strong quantitative, analytic and problem solving capabilities to arrive at clear and concise conclusions
  • Proven experience delivering timely, high quality presentations and/or reporting for various projects and stakeholders. Attention to detail is a must with continuous focus on design excellence
  • Excellent time management, communication, organization and project management skills
  • Energetic, self-motivated and effective under pressure - must enjoy the challenge of working autonomously within a fast-paced and demanding working environment
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint/PitchPro, with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Background in Finance, Consulting, Strategy or other analytical client services role within the electronic payments sector preferred
  • Meaningful experience with Tableau, SLQ, and/or other business analytical tools is preferred
