GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides direction within the Division of Patient Care Services in developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic long-range financial planning and forecasting, and optimizing resource management. Utilizing clinical and financial outcome data, performs complex financial analyses to assist Patient Care Services achieve and maintain established financial targets and operational performance. Identifies opportunities for performance improvement, cost reductions and streamlined clinical and business processes. Coordinates the development, administration, and management of all Patient Care Services budgets (personnel, operating, and capital) and provides resources and tools to managers. Utilizes benchmarking and decision support data to improve productivity and profitability. Provides leadership and analytical guidance toward critical decision-making that will enhance clinical outcomes, improve productivity, reduce expenses, and optimize resources.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  1. Baccalaureate degree in nursing required. Master's degree in nursing or business preferred. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia.

  2. Minimum of five years current experience in an acute care setting to include management experience. Three years' experience in strategic planning, education, budgeting, and business planning in patient care services.

  3. Experience and comprehensive understanding of hospital operations, clinical delivery systems, health care finance, and/or consulting within the acute care setting are strongly preferred.

  4. Current CPR Certification required.
