Resources for Human Development CORE Beaver program is open and hiring Life Skills Coach. Full-Time, Part-Time, On-call, and flexible shifts are available. Currently hiring for the 11-7 Overnight and 3-11 evening shift.

The Life Skills Coach is responsible for collaboratively and actively assisting and supporting participants in the development of life skills, facilitating groups, and the establishment and attainment of goals identified on the individual's Recovery Support Plan.

Responsibilities/Duties




  • Responsible for working collaboratively with program participants and his/her supports to identify participant's needs, services, and desirables.

  • Assess program participant's strengths, differing skills, and abilities, to determine the best approach and learning style that can help increase the skill development of each program participant.

  • Responsible for the development of Recovery Support Plan with assigned program participant and Clinical Manager while also supporting the individual with goal attainment.

  • Support/assist the program participant with the development and maintenance of necessary daily life skills to live independently within their community, i.e., cooking, shopping, household duties, seeking employment and education opportunities, medication management, interpersonal relations, utilizing community resources, vocational, budgeting, banking, accessing transportation, meal preparation, etc.



Required Experience




  • Two years of experience in the social service field

  • Experience working in a residential drug and alcohol program preferred.

  • Personal Recovery or Life Experience preferred



Required Education



  • High School diploma/ GED.


Required Qualifications



  • Valid Driver's License


Program Summary



RHD CORE (Capitalizing On a Recovery Environment) Beaver County provides non-hospital detoxification, short-term and long-term non-hospital residential drug and alcohol treatment services. RHD CORE Beaver County accepts adult male and female self-referrals as well as referrals from other human service agencies in the community. RHD CORE Beaver utilizes evidence-based practices, supports the use of MAT, and provides trauma-informed care. We also adhere to the Recovery Oriented System of Care as we support our client's recovery and return to the community.
