Role: Sr Manager, Marketing Analytics (Events), Marketing Decision Science Team

About the Role: We are currently seeking a Marketing Analytics Senior Manager within the Marketing Analytics Team. This role will focus on maintaining event reporting, Marketing KPIs, and will drive marketing insights globally for the events portfolio within Salesforce. The Sr. Manager will work with stakeholders across Strategic Events, Industry Marketing, Executive Programs, Trailblazer Marketing, Partner Marketing, and Product Marketing to yield the highest ROI on every dollar spent. This role requires people management experience and an ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deliverables at once. With a solid understanding of B2B go to market operations and processes, especially marketing and preferably event analytics, this individual is responsible for providing global marketing stakeholders with timely and accurate insights via dashboards, reports, and presentations. This individual will be instrumental in driving data-driven decisions across the marketing organization.

About the team: The Sr. Manager, Marketing Analytics will report to the Director of Marketing Analytics and will lead the event function within the Marketing Analytics team. The Event Analytics team is focused on partnering cross-functionally to optimize Salesforce's event portfolio.

Responsibilities:


    • Own and monitor key event marketing performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics globally

    • Drive holistic, global reporting and analysis for Executive briefings and reviews

    • Responsible for all Dreamforce, World Tour, Connections, TrailheaDX, Basecamp, and 3rd Party event reporting, insights, and forecasts.

    • Ensure standardization and consistency of metrics, Business reviews, and insights for AMER, EMEA, LATAM, & APAC leadership teams.

    • Partner with the Strategic Events Team to collect, track and manage reporting and analytical requirements and provide immediate and/or long term analytical solutions to meet business needs

    • Enable data-driven marketing by conceptualizing and developing dashboards, reports, queries and other tools to provide timely and accurate information about marketing performance

    • Lead analytical tasks and projects that may involve cross-functional teams in Marketing, Sales and IT

    • Responsible for enablement of marketing metrics for the global campaign, event, and digital teams.

    • Manage project scope, timeline, deliverables, cost, resources and expectations; communicate effectively with business partners at all levels, including sponsors, key stakeholders and project members


Required Skills/Experience:


    • 6+ years experience in Marketing Analytics

    • Prior experience with B2B Marketing for SaaS.

    • Prior experience in Marketing Analytics, Sales Operations or sales analytics required

    • Ability to effectively manage executive stakeholders globally

    • Prior experience with forecasting sales and/or revenue targets preferred

    • Strong knowledge of B2B Marketing and the demand waterfall, lead life cycle, pipeline generation, and all stages in between

    • Understand various types of marketing campaigns, tactics, and their effectiveness

    • Prior management experience required

    • Ability to understand and frame business problems into analytical problems

    • Synthesize data from multiple sources into one cohesive story

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills for translating data insights into concise and insightful executive summaries and presentations

    • Prior experience working with reports dashboards, and custom objects in Salesforce

    • Proficiency in Salesforce, Tableau, R, Excel, & SQL preferred

    • Demonstrated ability to lead & inspire a team while managing various projects to deliver effectively

    • Bachelors degree in Engineering, statistics, computer science, business, or related field
