A week in the life of a Research Analyst:

• Work on a small team, overseeing the execution of scientific research projects, in support of the Department of Defense's Joint Intermediate Force Capabilities Office. These project span a wide range of scientific areas including electronics, ballistics, optics, psychology, physiology, etc.


• Assist the Program Manager, with project oversight, research planning, test design, data analysis, report writing and presentation. This is a customer facing position. While the specific areas of research are expected to change over time, the initial project is focused on quantifying the behavioral response of people exposed to flashbang grenades.


• In this project, our team will test human subjects' ability to perform military tasks in a simulated environment.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific (i.e. physics, chemistry, biology, psychology, physiology) or engineering (i.e. mechanical, electrical, aerospace, biomedical) discipline.


• 5 years of relevant experience (or a MS and 3 years).


• Excellent written and oral communication skills.


• Quantitative data analysis experience.


• Ability to pass a background check, to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Desired, but not required:

• An active DoD Secret clearance.


• Experience supporting the DoD.


• Experience with human and/or animal subject research.


• Experience with unmanned systems, lasers and/or RF systems.
