The Senior Accountant will assist the Corporate Controllers with financial reporting and analytics, auditing, budgeting, general ledger maintenance and reconciliation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage fixed assets and depreciation.
Allocate monthly expenses.
Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
Review and reconcile accounting schedules and balance sheet accounts.
Assist Corporate Controllers in month end and year end close.
Assist department managers in preparing annual budgets.
Analyze systems to suggest process improvements.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Learn and assist other accounting functions (A/R, A/P, G/L).
Other duties as assigned by the manager.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending, or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
Ability to communicate by providing verbal / written feedback in a professional manner.
4 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Ability to quickly adapt to new concepts, software, and procedures.
Valid driver's license with a MVR in good standing.
Demonstrated abilities in these areas: organization, accounting, strong data entry skills, strong math skills, utilization of multiple financial software systems, analyzing financial data, attention to detail, thoroughness, communication, strong customer service skills, 10-key by touch.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
