The Eugene Water & Electric Board is currently seeking a GIS Technician to perform Geographic Information System (GIS) work under general supervision, usually by Supervisor, Lead or senior GIS technical staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing technical work in multi-tier GIS operations environments. Duties include digital data entry and management, executing applications, project/task management, and producing maps and related graphic output.

GIS Technician I: $56,925.51- $68,585.02

Minimum Training and Experience Required:
GIS Technician I: One year of experience as a GIS Editor, Technician, Specialist, or similar classification including cartographic experience required. Experience with the use of ESRI ArcGIS software is required.
GIS Technician II: Four years of experience as a GIS Editor, Technician, Specialist, or similar classification including cartographic experience required. Experience with the use of ESRI ArcGIS software is required.
Education: Associate degree, Certificate, or equivalent training in GIS, Cartography, Geography, Engineering, or a related field.
Desirable education, experience, training and certifications: Experience working in a utility environment and working with ARCFM preferred.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of experience and education may be qualifying.
